Guys, being a bride-to-be is TOUGH for a dress-hater like me! Do you know how many parties you are supposed to attend in attire other than holey denim?! A lot. It’s a lot. The romper has always been my saving grace. Easy to style, easy to wear, and hard to pee in. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
I found this tie-front version of my old faithful at Sabo Skirt and I’m so glad I ordered it! It’s super lightweight and has just enough extra detailing to be considered a dressy-dress alternative. I have styled it for you two ways here, mostly because I was DYING to break out this jacket! It was 95 degrees, and I had to lie down after, but that doesn’t take away from the cuteness.
1| SWEET STYLED:
SIMILAR ROMPER (Mine is Sabo Skirt) / LACE-UP HEELS / SIMILAR BAG / CRESCENT CUFF
2| STREET STYLED:
UTILITY JACKET / SIMILAR ROMPER (Mine is Sabo Skirt) / LACE-UP HEELS / SIMILAR BAG HERE and HERE / SUNNIES / CRESCENT CUFF c/o SHELLY BROWN (1 left!)
It’s amazing how something as simple as throwing my new favorite over-sized utility jacket on over this girly little romper takes me from feeling uncomfortably dressy to right at home. You can even tell by the pictures! This look is just more me through and through. I would totally wear this to my bridal shower, and then add the jacket to head out with my girlfriends for drinks, or even to meet Will for a date night dinner. It says, ‘I’m a lady and put together, but I also probably sang every word right along with Lil’ Wayne on the way here.’ Which I absolutely did.
UPDATE: SUPER similar bag for under $100 HERE!
