In a lot of ways, a great coat can be an outfit all on its own. I could be wearing anything underneath it and it would still look chic. I love that this one has a huge folding collar that you can wrap around your entire head if you fear the wind like in the ‘Stepsister from Planet Weird,’ or if you run into someone you don’t want to see, or if you haven’t washed your hair since Monday. This is a judgement free zone. This one caught my eye when it was still 96 degrees in ATL, so you can imagine my excitement to break it out last week. It is now back in the 70s. I love the South.
I’m wearing it with sneaks here, but it also looks great dressed up with a pair of OTK boots like these. Not looking to be so spendy on a coat right now? Good, because apparently I waited so long to post this, it sold out, but don’t worry…I gotchu. Here is a VERY similar version for under $30, and this one is a Forever 21 version.
